Now is a good time to look at your 2023 health coverage to make sure you know how to access care and get the most out of your benefits. Use this checklist to help you understand your coverage for next year.
Your Evidence of Coverage is an important document that gives you the legal, detailed description of your plan benefits. It explains the rights and the rules you need to follow to get covered services and prescription drugs. Another name for it is “Member Handbook.”
The easiest way to access it is online through your Sharp Health Plan online account. Here’s how:
If you would like a printed copy mailed to you, please call Customer Care at the phone number listed on the back of your member ID card.
You should have received this in the mail in September. This notice tells you about the changes to your plan for next year. Any changes are listed in easy-to-read tables, showing side-by-side comparisons of this year and next year.
Let us know if your email address, cell number or home phone number change in your online account. If you move to a new address, please update your information with Social Security at ssa.gov/myaccount or call Social Security at 1-800-772-1213.
